As the policyholder, you have the right to request a cash settlement or to select your own preferred contractors. We as your professional representatives will give you our best opinion. If you choose to take a cash settlement or use a non-PLA approved contractor, we will then deduct our fees from the final settlement. This will be stated in your mandate and instructions to your insurer which is required to be signed by you. Our standard fees are 10%+VAT of the total settlement amount for dealing with the claim on your behalf.
