Once upon a time, in a land called the lakes area, there was a licensed real estate agent named Jay Schurman. Jay is passionate about people and real estate. After some time, Jay came upon a company that matched his passion for people and real estate with their worldwide reach and agent empowering tools. Jay partnered with Matt Brenk, mayor of Detroit Lakes and RE/MAX Lakes Region was born. In another part of Detroit Lakes, there was an agent with a passion for people and real estate named Lisa Jasken. Lisa, like Jay, started searching for a company that would help serve her clients. Jay and Lisa formed a partnership in RE/MAX Lakes Region. Their friends, Jack Chivers, Paula Okeson, Michelle Bjerke, Mike & Joy Summers, Don Kinslow, Jena Walz, Mindy Rodke, Lynette Conmy, and Scott Beadle all joined the team at RE/MAX Lakes Region. This team has become what we like to call our “Lakes RE/MAX Family”. This family has come together from a variety of backgrounds, but something they have in common is a desire to serve people! Their passion and knowledge have proved to be an unbeatable combination! In 2019, together, they sold $66.9 million dollars in real estate, more than any other company in the lakes area.
