Our ecologists provide the full range of ecological surveys (environmental surveys and reports) you are likely to need during your planning application. This includes the initial survey of a site that has many names such as: Preliminary ecological appraisals, extended / phase 1 habitat surveys, wildlife surveys, ecological assessments and biodiversity surveys. If you are only developing a building you are likely to be asked for: Preliminary visual assessment for bats and breeding birds, bat and barn owl surveys, bat surveys or the planning authority may just call it a wildlife survey or an ecology survey. Following this initial survey, certain phase 2 surveys in relation to protected species may be recommended such as: Bat, reptile, badger, dormouse, otter, water vole, great crested newt, breeding bird, plant and invertebrate surveys.
