THE ABOUT LIVING JOURNEY STARTED IN 2006 WHEN OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR GARY HOGAN FOUND A DEFICIENCY IN THE WEST OF SCOTLAND'S MARKET FOR A CURATE RANGE OF INSPIRED HOMEWARE & GIFTS. October 2006 saw the opening of the first store. The website is undergoing its most significant makeover to date, nearly 16 years later, with the introduction of more than 40 new brand names and categories, consisting of furniture, lighting, and upscale pet accessories. Gary began his career in retail after working behind the scenes in movies and television. Given that he was elevated in a household company, it was only a matter of time till he decided to comply with in his papa's footprints and open his very own business. Gary remains to lead the company's buying division with a sharp eye for the newest designs and products. The brands that About Living carries is always expanding, and we are thrilled to welcome some new brands to the family, such as Baobab Collection, Blomus, Jonathan Adler, Menu, Noble Isle, Indigenous Union, and Ortigia Sicilia. Our team of knowledgeable buyers intends to provide hand-selected, globally inspired gifts and décor in every style, for every occasion. OUR PURPOSE Our goal is to provide our clients with an exquisitely curated assortment of gifts and home decor from leading designers in a single retail location. A selection of the products we have available on our on-line store are displayed in our boutique store found on Glasgow's Southside. OUR SOURCED DESIGN We draw inspiration from emerging global interior and gift concepts. We are always investigating emerging trends that emerge from the most recent interior design shows and fashion runways. Our buyers trip across the globe to source our current collections and cultivate connections with our brand associates. This season's botanical motifs, which incorporate unique succulents with brilliant colours, and the underrated elegance of marble and rock interior accents are both very appealing to us.
