Category: Lawyer, Law Firm, Attorney, DUI Attorney, Criminal Defense Attorney

Since 1984, Ann Toney’s legal experience ranges from President of the Public Defender’s Association in North Carolina to Deputy District Attorney in the 7th, 9th, and 18th Judicial Districts in Colorado. With over 30 years of proven expertise, Ann has the knowledge and capability to provide the best possible defense for those charged with DUI. At the core, Ann understands that persistence, meticulous attention to detail, and compassion are the keys to successful representation.

Ann’s career began in North Carolina, having received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of South Florida, and her JD from the North Carolina Central University School of Law. She quickly rose in ranks from practicing Real Property Law to becoming President of the Public Defender’s Association, as well as gaining valuable experience prosecuting felonies.

Ann Toney opened her law practice to defend people charged with DUI. Ann has been practicing law for over 30 years and in that time, she has learned a lot. After being in private practice, Ann joined the Public Defender’s Office to defend people and eventually was elected President of all of the Public Defender’s Association in North Carolina. She currently practices as a DUI attorney in Denver.

After moving to Colorado in 1998, since Ann had prosecuted in Fayetteville, North Carolina, when she moved to Colorado, she joined the District Attorney’s Office in the 7th Judicial District. Ann went on to prosecute in the 18th Judicial District and also in the 9th Judicial District totaling eleven (11) years as a prosecutor. What Ann learned there was that not all attorneys come to court prepared and ready to defend their clients. Ann also learned not all law enforcement officers tell the truth and are honest. While Ann has friends in law enforcement from when she prosecuted, when she saw dishonesty with a law enforcement officer, she always addressed it. During these years, Ann conducted many DUI jury trials and other criminal trials as well. While Ann prosecuted
