ear microsuction edgware is a procedure that removes excess ear wax from your ear canal. The procedure is performed by an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist in a clinic or surgery. It is usually done to remove hardened wax from the outer part of the ear canal. During this procedure, the ENT specialist will use a microscope and special suction tool to remove any excess earwax. They may also recommend other treatments such as irrigation in order to remove any remaining debris. This includes cleaning out the ear with water before drying it with cotton wool buds or gauze pads. In some cases, if there is excessive build-up of wax then this may need to be removed manually by an ENT surgeon using a curette or spoon shaped instrument called an ‘otolaryngologist’s probe’ which gently scrapes away at any soft tissue stuck inside the ear canal without causing further damage or pain during this process.
