My name is Hayat and I run a permanent Make up studio called Feature Powder Brows. Permanent make up is also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation. It’s a technology where specially made pigment is implanted in to the skin to give the look of everyday cosmetics with a long lasting, smudge free, waterproof result. Like tattoos, the pigment is placed in to the dermis, making it last. However, these pigments are designed to fade making them semi-permanent which allows some adjustment to the shape and tone later on if desired. Its common that as an average and as a minimum 2 sessions are needed for optimal results. These sessions are placed 6-12 weeks a part. The results after that can last for years depending on skin type, metabolism and lifestyle. A younger and/or oilier skin will flush out the pigment faster. Sun damage turns over skin cells and the pigment in it faster etc. The result may last from 6-36 months and as an average 12 months before needing a touch up or color boost. You can look at it like a hair color that fades and needs a color boost every now and then, it just takes much longer for Permanent Make Up to fade. In permanent make up there is variety of styles to implement the pigment depending om what the client is looking for. •For eyebrows there is the powdered brows look, the ombre look or hairstrokes look which is most commonly known as the microblading technique. •For eyeliner tattoo there is eyeliner enhancements, smokey eyes, winged liners etc. •And for the lips you can have lip blush, which is a more lip gloss look, or a more opaque implantation for a lipstick look.
